REFLEXOLOGY

REFLEXOLOGY
Reflexology is a complementary therapy which is based on the theory that different points on the feet and hands correspond with different areas of the body. Reflexologists believe that working on these points or areas aids relaxation and helps improve wellbeing. By stimulating these point with pressure, the therapist can encourage the body to relax. Deep relaxation and a reduction in stress bring an improved sense of well being and this can mean more than simply the absence of illness. It also includes and improved frame of mind and improved sleep.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A REFLEXOLOGY TREATMENT

Reflexology is a very easy treatment to receive; at most you will be asked to remove your shoes and socks. A full medical history will be taken, you will be asked to sign a consent form agreeing to the treatment. All information will be kept confidentially.
As the therapist I will then use my thumb, fingers or knuckles to apply pressure to the feet and sometimes the lower leg and hands. Some areas of the feet may feel tender when pressed, but this will pass.
The general experience should feel relaxing I will record the areas of tenderness and can explain what the corresponding part of the body this relates to.
Each treatment will last approximately one hour, this ensures that every reflex can be worked. It is important to understand that as a holistic treatment that more than one treatment may be needed, normally a course of treatment of at least one a week for four weeks, but this is completely at the discretion of the client.

COST
For one hour treatment the cost is £45.00
Five treatments for £200.00.

Q: Will I benefit from REFLEXOLOGY?

A: As a holistic practitioner and reflexologist, I will be there to support you and promote your wellbeing. I do not diagnose, prescribe or cure. Peoples reactions to treatment are unique to the individual and there is no way of knowing in advance how you will react. I have worked as a reflexologist for many years and have had many positive outcomes with previous clients. The only real way to know if reflexology will help you is to try it.
